Taking notes and making a rough draft for Thesis Writing

Thesis Writing requires a good research work. The research work needs to be noted down properly so that you don’t miss any point while writing down your thesis. The easiest way of taking down note is by using index card. The use of small index card of about 4″x 6″ or  5″x 8″ would be quite helpful. These cards are available in various colors. Using different color cards will help you to note different ideas in different colors. Make sure you include authors’ names, date and page number at the top of the card. Also, on a separate index card, write down all the bibliography information in the proper form for your reference list or bibliography. This will help you identify footnotes and citations and make typing the references easier.

With the help of your thesis outline, plan for your rough draft of the thesis writing. Use all the information written on the index card. Use proper citation but keep in mind that you do not fill your work with more quotation. Try using your own word and be particular about grammar, spellings and punctuations. Read the paper aloud to yourself to see how it flows and to correct any awkward sentences.
